[mood: ok.
]
I helped my mother with the accounting last night. Ha. Ha. It was okay, it's only money. I told her I wanted $100 out of the seven fourty four I had and she said ok, which was actually, what I've been asking for since last month from my own account. To think she'd let me plug out triple digits is an extraordinary miracle, but I guess Chinese New Year is always a miracle. Mark had nine eighty eight because he took the effort to get to his girlfriend's relatives, and also because he's older, everyone tends to add a few tens here and there. Doesn't matter. I had a good time yesterday. Mom tells me that when MaYi comes home from Japan this Saturday, she'll give Mark and I a whole lotta hard cash in yen. I laughed when I heard about it; dad said she had to find places on herself to hide the money because it was dangerous leaving them in bags. It was then I immediately thought of strapping them to her body like bombs, where she would later suspiciously run to the arrival gates as fast as she can as a dark brown marshmallow. Dark brown because she always wears that dark brown sweater when she arrives.
Visiting was awesome, took some pictures of favourite relatives. Haha. Actually, I like all my relatives. I only took some because they would make great icons. That will be up soon. Everybody would be sure to remember when AutyConnie came out of the kitchen to address 4 year old Sherlaine,
"Here dear, some of Uncle Gerald's milk."
To which Gerald pointed out that it didn't sound right at all and Sherlaine's grandfather (my uncle John) said it was going to be a problem if she wanted more of Uncle Gerald's milk. Gerald is my 37-year old cousin by the way. He's working some big job and he's as lame as he is old and unmarried. He has a girlfriend and everyone is horrible and direct to him about it, even Mark (Is this girlfriend confirm CONFIRM or not; Oi Gerald are you going to marry this one).
My relatives are pretty crass about alot of things, especially those on my father's side (Uncle Book now refers constipation to having a slight problem with factory output, we all thought he was talking about his phone maufacturing company :P), they're a noisy bunch of colours. But I really do love them alot. So if any of you meet them, don't scream and run away, ok? They're like that. I'll make it a point to have each and every one of them at my wedding, if they haven't gone off yet. Generation gaps are pretty large (cousins as old as your 55 year old mom???).
Today I'm going to sit home and rest. I'm sorry to MinYi who invited me over today for CNY, but unfortunately, I'm bummed out. I knocked myself out after American Idol and woke up with a ferocious body ache like I've been exercising all day, which is weird because all I think I really did was eat and move around and talk. Flattery was not uncommon yesterday. All commented about my dressing. They probably have not seen me in a long time. :P.
I'm going to do some Photoshopping now. :). I'll show you Gerald.
