The cramps spoilt my day.
I watched Constantine again. Caught the segment after the credits. Gavin Rossdale is handsome. Shia LaBeouf (Chas, the sidekick) is cute. Of course, you get to stare at Keanu most of the time, but that isn't really a problem.
I did a little research on the original story in Hellblazer and it's way darker in the graphic novels than it is in the movie. If they stuck to the backstory of the comic in the movie, it would be a straight R and a blasting from the religious patrons out there. I'll cover that later, maybe.
I'm just glad Chas got to live.
I'm torturing myself by drinking Coke. It supposedly makes you bloated and uncomfortable during periods, but I'm so thirsty it was the only thing sweet I could find. So goes my comfort and later my non-bloatiness. I could use some juice, but cold juice (which would be the best) would just make me wanna tear my insides out myself.
I saw the trailer of Try Seventeen this afternoon. I was excited. I"m sorry I was late guys, it was because I got carried away watching the Guru. It was actually pretty funny.
Well, other than that, there's nothing much. I think God kind of fixed my magazine buying problem by taking away all the magazines I usually buy off the shelves. I cannot find them anywhere at all. Ah well.
I'm taking another can.
.a short note some people have indicated.
the real reasons Christians were persecuted in Rome was not because of their basic beliefs (the Romans couldn’t care less about another deity in their midst), but political. For one thing, Christians believed that if one’s family did not share a Christian’s faith, that person should leave their family and stay with the church. Since Rome was a society based on tribes and extended family, this was a dangerous notion. For another, the Christians were considered disloyal en masse because they refused to believe that the emperor was worthy of veneration (they were generally venerated while alive and deified after death), which is something like the way some people persecute those who criticize George W. Bush now.
Hmm. Makes the Christians in the past sound like the Muslims today. That comment can be seen as a biased judgement, but I'm just saying. Apologies if an offense is taken, but opinions are always open on the internet.
.the scoop on hellblazer [constantine] from a fan.
Constantine is the main character of this comic. He doesn't have the power to see the other world. He doesn't have any power at all. He is an occult expert. The things that are in the movie are taken from the comic. The first of the fallen is not Lucifer/Belcebu/Mefisto/the devil. He is the first one to fall long before Lucifer did. He's God's concience that was cast out from heaven when he discovered that God was crazy. Gabriel is one of God soldiers. He was sent to earth 2000 years ago to rape Mary. ( sorry, but that's what the comic says).
That is really sick, and twisted dude. I'm never going to read Hellblazer because of that.
I'm gonna eat dinner.
Full, actual comic coverage on Gabriel's background. If you want to. Major spoilers if you don't want to know.
